At Monks Haven Café, we consider ourselves very much a part of the Whitby community, and feel that it's just as important for businesses to respect the community and the environment as a whole as it is for individuals.

• We source as many of our ingredients and suppliers from local companies and traders.
• We recycle as much of our waste as we can (mainly glass and cardboard), and we're always looking for ways to reduce our impact on the environment.
• We use energy efficient lighting wherever possible.
• We offer a 10% discount to locals and regular customers.
